Ujunwa Ojemeni is a financing, business development and clean energy expert with experience in the areas of opportunity maturation, project financing and impact investing. She has been in the energy sector for over five years now. She was in project development for a while before transiting to impact investment.
While in energy project development, she coordinated several gases and power development opportunities valued at approximately $300 Million.In energy impact investing, her work has involved working with partners to catalyze funding to the clean energy sector such as the $100Million Off-Grid Energy Access Fund (OGEF) along with the African Development Bank and others, as well as driving investments in and managing investments in various clean energy companies.

The African Union Commission, the Economic Commission for Africa and the African Development Bank, in collaboration with the Government of Ethiopia and the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance are convening the Eighth Conference on Climate Change and Development in Africa from 28 to 30 August 2019 in Addis Ababa, under the theme “Stepping up climate action for resilient economies in Africa – a race we can (and must) win”.
RES4Africa Foundation, in partnership with Enel Foundation and in cooperation with MIP and Bocconi University, organizes the two weeks advanced training course that will be held in Milan from 18th to 29th November 2019. The yearly training course, in its 6th edition, aims at providing participants with a set of technical, economic and regulatory core competences and advanced tools to assess and deploy the most appropriate solutions in different energy contexts for an efficient and effective integration of renewables in emerging electricity markets, whilst nurturing an international network of experts.
The course is addressed primarily to high-achieving individuals able to shape and deploy the future of energy systems in the Africa Region. The course will be held in English. A certificate of attendance will be released by RES4Africa Foundation and Enel Foundation at the end of the course.

Renewable Energy Solutions for Africa (RES4Africa) foundation has marked its seventh annual conference in Addis Ababa at Sheraton Hotel on July 19, 2019, making it the first time the conference is held in the African continent.
The session, titled “Overcoming Africa's Energy Access Gap” was sponsored by Enel Green Power, Bonelli Erede and Terna, where 200 participants gathered to discuss and identify strategic priorities to scale-up renewable energy across Africa to overcome the energy access gaps.
