Young Journalists 2nd Workshop was held in parallel.

On 31 March 2021, the ten finalists together with the young journalists were briefed by the organizers of the competition on the selection process, the next actions, expectations and awards for the finalists (10), winners (3) and one best pitch among the ten.  

The work shop was organized following a jury lead selection process based in Germany and Ethiopia on a pre-specified criteria including on innovation, economic viability, gender, social, climate change and environmental impacts.

The 10 finalists will receive training and coaching support, exposure to international network, incubation support and digital certificate while the winners will receive additional monetary price.

The innovation competition is being complemented by the young journalist program with a goal of increasing public awareness of the competition, visibility for the finalists, and creating a better awareness of the young journalist on clean energy issues in Ethiopia.

Ethiopian Energy^Power Business Portal, eepBp, is glad to be among the ten finalists. As an energy platform, eepBp is glad to learn the promising innovative ideas discussed in the workshop and wishes all best of luck. We will continue reporting the progress of the competition in due course.
